Who we are
Kampala Web Design, a website design business based in Kampala, Uganda. Reachable on 0743768155.
Quotes and prices
Every quote we give is fixed and lists exactly what is included. A quote stands for 30 days. Prices are in Ugandan shillings and exclude domain and hosting, which you pay directly to the hosting company.
Payment
50% is payable before work starts and 50% when the site is complete, before it goes live. Online shop projects may be split into three payments. We accept MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money and bank transfer, and issue a receipt for every payment.
What we need from you
Your content, photos and answers to our questions. If we do not hear from you for 30 days we pause the project and hold your work for six months. Restarting costs nothing.
Revisions
Two rounds of changes are included at the review stage before launch. Changes beyond the agreed scope, or requested after approval, are quoted separately and you will always be told the price before any work is done.
After launch
Anything not working as agreed is fixed free for 30 days after launch (60 or 90 days on larger packages). This covers faults, not new features.
Ownership
Once the final payment is made, the website, its content and all accounts are yours. Domains, hosting and Google accounts are registered in your name from the start. You may move to another developer at any time and we will hand over everything.
What we are not responsible for
Downtime, data loss or security problems caused by your hosting company, by third-party services, or by changes made to the site by you or anyone else after handover. We are also not responsible for your position in Google search results, which no developer controls.
Cancelling
You may cancel before work starts and the deposit is refunded in full. Once writing or building has begun, the deposit covers the work already done and is not refundable. Monthly care plans can be stopped at the end of any month with no penalty.
